Information we don't collect

Server logs

Our server logs basic technical data for each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser's user agent.

We use these logs to deliver the site, fix errors, and prevent abuse. We keep them for [retention period].

Counting clicks on Amazon links

We count clicks on Amazon links without cookies, so we can see which deals and channels work.

We don't store your IP address itself, only a SHA-256 hash of it. The salt for that hash changes every day, so records from different days can't be linked to each other. We keep these records for [retention period].

For each click, we store:

• the deal you clicked
• the channel you came from (taken from the utm_source parameter)
• the host name of the referring site
• a device class: mobile, desktop, or bot
• a SHA-256 hash of your IP address, made with a salt that changes daily

Link pages from our posts

Links in our social media and messaging posts open a BBT Deals product page at links.bbtdeals.com. It shows the product and an Amazon button; it never forwards you to Amazon automatically.

When such a page opens and when you tap its Amazon button, we record, without cookies:

• the link, and whether it was a page view or a tap on the Amazon button
• the app the page was opened in (for example Instagram or Telegram) and the device class, both derived from the user agent
• the host name of the referring site
• a SHA-256 hash of your IP address, made with a salt that changes daily

Cloudflare

The site runs on our own server, with Cloudflare in front of it as a CDN and proxy. Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.

Cookies and fonts

We don't set any cookies. There are no tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, and no ad networks on this site. Your language and country choice is part of the page URL, not a cookie.

Fonts load from our own server, so your browser doesn't contact a third-party font service.

When you go to Amazon

When you click an Amazon link, you leave this site for amazon.com. Amazon may set its own cookies there under Amazon's Privacy Notice.

On our social media and messaging channels, each platform's own privacy policy applies.

We don't sell or share your information

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose it only to service providers that help us run the site, such as Cloudflare, or when the law requires it.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. California residents have these rights under the CCPA, and several other states have similar laws.

To make a request, email us at [Email]. Our click records don't contain IP addresses, so we usually can't link them to a specific person. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
